AI Just Killed
The CEO
AI Just Killed The CEO: A Story of Power, Obsolescence, and the Ghost in the Boardroom is the first publication of the Department CEO Model — a framework the author developed over forty-six years of observing how information actually flows through organisations, and how AI transformation is dissolving the translation layer at every level of the workplace.
For the ones who do the work. Not the ones who report on it — the ones who do it. For the people on the ground, who always knew what to do, and were never asked.
“For the people on the ground. Who always knew what to do. And were never asked.”
An original framework
The concepts, frameworks, and analysis in this book — including the Department CEO Model, the Ghost CEO concept, and the application of Epistemic Lattice principles to corporate governance — are the original intellectual work of William Zoltán Apró. The cognitive framework underpinning the model was first published by the author as Adaptive Multiplex Leadership (Zenodo, November 2025), before the major institutional studies on AI and the workforce began reporting their findings.
